Dear Friends:
There are things in the world that sometimes people don’t want
to look at.
My intention is to show that at night in Buenos Aires, my city, something
uncommon exists. Some men dress as women and incredibly can convince
everybody that the transformation is true. I’ve been impacted
because I consider it a challenge for someone to make transgender work
in a way that could create a new persona. This exhibit presents the
feedback between the art of the subjects and the art of photography
when I took the images. So I’m very grateful to the models
that worked hard at presenting their best for the best result.
I want to thank all the visitors of my show for coming and looking
at a reality that may not be refreshing but realistic. Howard Christopherson
gives me, in Icebox Gallery, a great opportunity of showing something
that in my opinion breaks barriers. He has my gratitude for his hard
work and for giving me the opportunity of showing my new production.
This exhibition could have been called “We Drags really exist”.
I believe that the artistic mission in the line of photography is to
be sincere. That’s what I tried to do.
Thanks to the visitors.
Thanks to Icebox Gallery.
Thanks to the Drags.
Thanks for everything.
