Photographed at Sammy's Bowery Bar in N.Y.C. when a Swedish journalist asked me to come with him to do a feature for his publication. I had very little experience with flash and just shot away, even standing on top of the bar at times. I was young and gutsy then. These pictures are now in the collection of a number of museums here and abroad. Beginner's luck.
