| Mary has turned her kitchen into her
studio, where I chose to photograph her. Mary might be defined as an Outsider
Artist; she paints, draws and makes sculptures. Her home in South Minneapolis
(near 50th & Penn) has been turned into a work of art. She paints and
decorates it with her colorful designs and displays sculptures in her yard.
Not everyone likes what she does, but Mary has a strong will even in the
face of controversy. She has been victimized on several occasions physically
amd verbally, and her house continues to be vandalized. |
