Much of my intensive photography experience has been through the development of image series. This often means several subjects coinciding in some way.

Early in my photography of pregnancy it was clear that there was a series to be explored with each single subject, a series over a finite time with dramatic evolution. Pregnancy presents the opportunity for a series that benefits from the catalytic commitment of the model to celebrate and commemorate a very personal journey through the creation of life. The timing of pregnancy generates a greater urgency to capture each stage. In the case of this photograph, the creative collaboration with husband and wife resulted in a graceful, loving documentary of a treasured time. The classic silhouette styling embraces the beauty of the pregnant form.
